Usage:
3406B Truck Engines (8TC, 4MG) Equipped With BrakeSavers
Description of Change: A new allen head screw is used in place of the former hex head bolt in the BrakeSaver water lines group on 3406B Truck Engines. The illustration shows the location of the new allen head screw. In some cases the former hex head bolt could contact the new rubber end sheet oil cooler. The new screw will eliminate this problem.
Location of the new 6J0488 Screw (allen head).
Adaptable To: The new 6J0488 Screw is a direct replacement for the former 0S1594 Bolt, at the location shown in the illustration, in the 4W5184 Brakesaver Water Lines Group on 3406B Truck Engines. The new 6J0488 Screw is in effect with 3406B Truck Engines 8TC5232 and 4MG31626. The new 7W1713 Oil Cooler was in effect with 3406B Truck Engines 8TC2240 and 4MG13412.
