New Mounting Bolts Used In Aftercooler Housings

Usage:


3306, 3306B Truck Engines With Turbochargers And Aftercoolers

Description of Change: Self-locking bolts are now used in the four locations on aftercoolers where short bolts are used on 3306B Truck Engines. The self-locking bolt has better torque retention capabilities than the former bolts.

Adaptable To: The new 343557 Bolt is a direct replacement for the former 1A2029 Bolt. The new bolt is effective as shown in the chart and is adaptable to all earlier engines. The new bolt should be tightened to the standard torque of 45 ± 7 N·m (32 ± 5 lb ft).
