变速箱油滤清器底座 (1) 位于变速箱壳体右侧顶部。
油底壳中的机油经磁性滤网流到齿轮泵。 齿轮泵将油输送至变速箱油滤清器。
接着，机油平行流经两个进口 (3) 。 机油充注壳体 (4) 内侧与滤芯之间的空间。 正常运转时，机油由外而内经滤芯和出口 (2) 流到变速箱液压控制装置和锁定离合器电磁阀。 滤芯会阻止油中所有碎屑。
如果滤芯中充斥碎屑，机油的流动阻力将导致壳体内部压力增加。 加压油启动旁通开关，驾驶室中会记录一个警报。
机油随后经打开的旁通阀 (5) 流向变速箱液压控制装置。 如果机油不流经滤清器滤芯，机油中的碎屑可能导致变速箱系统中的其他部件损坏。
采用正确的保养程序来确保滤清器滤芯中不会充斥碎屑而导致旁通阀打开。 如果滤芯塞满碎屑，流向变速箱系统的清洁机油将停止流动。
