Engine News, SEBD9801, 14 August 2012, "New Exhaust Elbows and Bellows Are Used for the Turbine Inlets on Certain G3516B and G3520B Engines". Disregard this article. Refer to the article that follows.

Description of Change: The design of the new exhaust elbows and bellows provides improved alignment to the turbocharger turbine inlets.

With the previous design, the same exhaust elbow was used on both sides of the exhaust manifold. With the new design, one elbow is for the left side and one elbow is for the right side.

Adaptable To: The new exhaust elbows and bellows are adaptable back to first production on G3516B engines JEF00001-UP.

The new exhaust elbows and bellows are adaptable to G3520B engines GLF01100-UP and TPC01002-UP.

The G3520B engines built prior to GLF01100-UP and TPC01002-UP are not applicable to the new exhaust elbows and bellows.

The new parts are effective with the following serial numbers:

• JEF01747

• GLF01103

• TPC01005

The new parts and the former canceled part are listed in Table 1. The bellows was redesigned and updated with a change level but the part number is the same.
