New Heat Exchanger Groups and Spacers Are Used on Certain C18 Commercial and Marine Engines {1379}

Gen Set Engine: C18 (S/N: DES1-UP); C18 MARINE GS (S/N: CYN1-UP)
Generator Set: C18 GEN SET (S/N: DDS1-UP); C18 MARINE GS (S/N: GBM1-UP; GEN1-UP; MGS1-UP)
Marine Engine: C18 MARINE (S/N: WKB1-UP; PLE1-UP; CKH1-UP; C1J1-UP; GES1-UP; KJT1-UP; JKX1-UP); C18 MARINE ENG (S/N: J2K1-UP; T2P1-UP)

New heat exchanger groups are now used. These heat exchanger groups utilize thinner heat exchanger plates and shorter spacers. The new heat exchanger groups have the same performance capability as the current heat exchangers.

Due to the difference in spacer and plate size is important to follow the parts system information as the new heat exchanger groups are serviced by the new heat exchanger plate groups and spacers. Refer to Table 1 for the proper part numbers.

Note: Current serviceable parts are available through the parts system for servicing the existing heat exchanger groups.
