Engine:

C11 (S/N: KCA1-UP)

C13 (S/N: KCB1-UP; LEE1-UP; JAM1-UP)

For increased leak protection, the existing oil pan seal and oil pan mounting hardware will be replaced with new hardware consisting of the same part numbers. The procedures below must be used when installing the new hardware.

Oil Pan Removal

1. Drain the oil into a suitable container. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations".

2. Remove bolts (1), washers (2), fastener assemblies (3) and remove oil pan (4) .

(1) 4C-9614 Silicone Sealant

Note: Ensure that the oil pan and mating surfaces are clean and free of oil.

1. Apply sealant (1) at four locations marked (1). Sealant should be applied in 4 ± 1 mm (0.16 ± 0.04 inch) diameter beads.

   Note: All joints using sealant must be assembled within 10 minutes of the application.

Note: Be sure to use new fastener assemblies as well as a new isolation seal.

2. Install fastener assemblies (2) and the gasket (4) onto oil pan (3) .

3. Position oil pan (3), washers (5), and bolts (6) into place.

4. Tighten bolts (6) in the above sequence.

5. Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations".
