| The front face of flywheel housing, both sides of flywheel housing and rear face of block must be free of oil, dirt, water, assembly compounds, and other contaminants during assembly. | |||
| Immediately prior to assembling, apply a continuous bead of ultra black Loctite 598 to the area (5) and to the end of the gasket. Remove excess sealant from the flange with straight edge following housing assembly.
Again apply ultra black Loctite 598 to the area (6) and the T- joint immediately after installation of the pan gasket. In both the instances, the sealant application should span the entire width of the T- joint to be sealed. |
