CX28 Transmission For Combat and Tactical Vehicles Transmission ; Transfer Case Electronic Control System Caterpillar

Vehicle operation indicates that the transfer case is in low range. But the Low range indicator is not enabled, Side to Side Wheel locks do not function and the vehicle speedometer is not correct. Diagnostic codes 4045 and 4046 are not active and there is air pressure to the transfer case solenoids.

The transition from Transfer Case high range to low range is sensed by the detent switch at C19: 7. If this switch does not close when the transfer case is in low range, then the ECU thinks that the transfer case is in high range. When the ECU thinks that the transfer case is in high range but is actually in low range, the low range output at C18: 10 will be disabled, the side to side locks will be disabled, and the vehicle speedometer will not be correct.
