- Remove temperature sensors (4).
- Remove heat shields (1), (2) and (3).

- Remove nuts (6). Loosen clamp assemblies (5).
- Remove and discard nuts (7). Remove the spacers, exhaust manifold (8), and the gaskets.
- Remove and discard nuts (7). Remove the spacers, exhaust manifold (9), and the gaskets.

- Remove and discard clamp assemblies (12) and bellows (13). Separate tube assembly (11) and exhaust manifold (8).
- Remove and discard clamp assemblies (12) and bellows (13). Separate exhaust elbow (14) and exhaust manifold (9).

- Install exhaust manifolds (9) and (8) in reverse order of removal.
- Install new clamp assemblies (12) and new bellows (13).

Illustration 4 g02346179 - Position new bellows (15) and install new clamp assemblies (10) (not shown). Ensure that the end of the bellows with the taper (A-A) is facing the exhaust manifold. Tighten clamp assemblies (10) to a torque of
7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in) .Show/hide tableIllustration 5 g02346618 Torque Sequence - Position the exhaust manifolds into place and install at least one Tooling (A) in each exhaust manifold.
- Apply Tooling (B) on the threads of the new nuts (7). Tighten nuts (7) in the above sequence to a torque of
20 ± 3 N·m (15 ± 2 lb ft) . Tighten nuts (7) again in the above sequence to a torque of38 ± 5 N·m (28 ± 4 lb ft) . - Tighten clamp assemblies (12) and (5) to a torque of
7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in) . - Tighten nuts (6) to a torque of
5 ± 1 N·m (44 ± 9 lb in) . - Apply Tooling (B) to temperature sensors (4). Tighten temperature sensors (4) to a torque of
45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft) .
- Install new clamp assemblies (12) and new bellows (13).
