Governor Actuator - Remove and Install

Be sure that the engine cannot be started while service work is being done. This is very important when the engine is equipped with an Automatic Start-Stop System. On engines equipped with an air starting system, close the air supply valve that supplies air to the starter motor before service work is begun. |

- Disconnect the harness assembly from governor actuator (3).
- Disconnect rod assembly (1) from governor actuator (3).
- Remove nuts (2), governor actuator (3), and the gasket from the governor drive.
- Install governor actuator (3) in the reverse order of removal.
- If necessary, install new studs for governor actuator (3). Tighten the studs to a torque of
17 ± 5 N·m (150 ± 45 lb in) . - Ensure that the splines on governor actuator (3) are correctly engaged during installation.
- If necessary, install new studs for governor actuator (3). Tighten the studs to a torque of
