During Installation Of Crankshaft Piston Ring Seals, Put Silicone Grease In The Groove And On The Seal{1160,1161}

To prevent possible oil leakage past the crankshaft piston ring seals after new ring seals are installed on the above engines, fill the groove for the ring seals with silicone grease (5N5561 Damping and Lubricant Compound). Also, put some silicone grease on the outer surface of the ring seals during installation.
Installation of the thrower with a minimum of groove runout is important. It is best to have a runout of .003" (0.08 mm) or less on the rear vertical surface of the groove.
