The Incorrect Fuel Enable Valve May Cause a Problem With the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device{1262, 1723}

Usage:

C13 LEE
Engine:
C13 (S/N: LEE1-UP)
C15 (S/N: SDP1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Low fuel pressure for the head of the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device will occur if the 317-1105 Solenoid Valve Gp is used on an engine that is equipped with the 294-7345 Fuel Filter Base Assembly . Diagnostic codes for low fuel pressure or failure to ignite may also be present if the 317-1105 Solenoid Valve Gp is used on an engine that is equipped with the 294-7345 Fuel Filter Base Assembly .

Solution

Only use the new fuel enable valve 317-1105 Solenoid Valve Gp on engines that are originally equipped with a 316-4385 Fuel Filter Base Assembly . The old fuel enable valve is still compatible for use on engines that have either of the fuel filter bases.
