Transmission oil pump (1) is a gear pump which is driven by the input to the torque converter.
The transmission oil pump supplies oil to the transmission hydraulic control system and the torque converter. This oil supply also lubricates the transmission.
The transmission oil pump draws oil from the sump through port (4) . The oil is discharged into the system through ports (2) and (3) .
