Typical example
(A) 510-3008 Hydraulic Cylinder Gp or 524-9001 Hydraulic Cylinder Gp

Follow the below procedure to check deck wrench position sensor duty cycle. If the minimum duty cycle of the deck wrench cylinder is not as per the specification, replace the existing 510-3008 Hydraulic Cylinder Gp for MD6200 and MD6250 or 524-9001 Hydraulic Cylinder Gp for MD6310 with the same new part.

  1. Launch Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET).

    1. Select the Machine control (ECM) shown in Illustration 2.

    2. Select the status tool.

    3. Select the deck tools.

    4. Select the deck wrench cylinder position sensor duty cycle.

  2. Install the drill pipe.

  3. Set to drill mode.

  4. Fully retract the deck wrench cylinder.

  5. Check deck wrench cylinder position sensor duty cycle percentage in Cat ET.

    1. Tolerance range:

      1. MD6200 (11.45 percent to 13.88 percent)

      2. MD6250 (11.45 percent to 13.88 percent)

      3. MD6310 (11.30 percent to 13.16 percent)

  6. Fully extend the deck wrench cylinder.

  7. Release the deck wrench cylinder control.

  8. Record check wrench cylinder position sensor duty cycle percentage in Cat ET.

    1. Tolerance range:

      1. MD6200 (84.13 percent to 88.98 percent)

      2. MD6250 (84.13 percent to 88.98 percent)

      3. MD6310 (85.98 percent to 89.70 percent)

  9. Release the deck wrench cylinder control.
