Description of Change: The new special instructions contain information about the parts and procedures that are needed to update the air cleaner on the machines listed above. The update may increase the service life of the air cleaner and engine.
For a complete list of materials and the correct procedure that is needed in order to update the air cleaner group and dust ejector group, refer to Special Instruction, REHS8794, "Instructions For Replacing The Air Cleaner Group On Certain 627H Wheel Tractor-Scrapers" for the 627H (S/N: DBW) Wheel Tractor-Scrapers. The new 449-9700 Air Cleaner Gp replaces the former 349-7328 Air Cleaner Gp. Also, the former 349-7324 Dust Ejector Gp will get updated to become 453-3708 Dust Ejector Gp .

To assist with machine transport, the intake stack can be removed and the precleaner placed directly on the plenum.
