1977/10/17 Caterpillar

Separate Parts Of Oil Pump Cover Now Available{1304,1314}

Usage:

3208 Engines;
225 Excavators ( 51U );
613, 613B Tractors

Description of Change: The separate parts of the oil pump cover assembly are now available for parts service. Formerly, it was necessary to order the complete cover assembly if any of the parts in this assembly were worn or damaged. With the parts available separately, it will not be necessary to remove the engine front cover to remove and install the guide, spring or plunger. Disassembly and assembly information is given in the Service Manual. Be careful to install the guide into the cover correctly. If one side of the guide is installed deeper into the bore than the other side, this can prevent correct operation of the valve.

Adaptable To: All 3208 Engines in all applications.
