If The Fuel Setting Dimension Is More Than 7.00 MM, Remove The End Play Of The Camshaft To Make The Fuel Setting{1257,1286}

Usage:

3306 Engines;
980B Loaders

On some of the models shown above, it is difficult to adjust the fuel setting if the dimension is more than 7.00 mm. If end play (free movement on the center line) of the fuel injection pump camshaft is toward the governor, the end play causes a restriction on the flyweight lever and prevents correct adjustment of the fuel setting. An easy way to make the fuel setting adjustment is to remove the service meter and push on the end of the fuel injection pump camshaft. This removes the end play during the adjustment procedure.
