New Refrigerant Compressors And Kits With Improved Seals; Conversion Of Earlier Units{7320}

Usage:

All Models Equipped with Air Conditioners

Description of Change: In an earlier change, a new front dust cover, front seal and pulley bearing were used to keep out dirt that enters (gets into) the pulley from the front. Now, a design change is made to keep out dirt that enters the pulley from the rear (compressor end) of the drive assembly. The new design of the pulley and seals gives better seal efficiency, and more completely seals the compressor end of the drive assembly.

Adaptable As: Each of the new basic compressor groups is a direct replacement for the former group. A new rebuild kit is available, and can be used for conversion of either former compressor group to a new group. This kit will be sent as a parts service replacement for any of the former repair kits, and is separate from the new repair kits used for the new compressor groups. Special Instruction Form SMHS7127 is sent with the rebuild kit as shown in the parts chart for conversion of former compressors.
