Rotor Position Sensor - Calibrate
This procedure should be done whenever the Optical Rotor Position Sensor Assembly is changed.
The Flywheel Cabinet panels should be in place. The doors should be closed.
- Place the Flywheel Cabinet keyswitch to the "Spindown/Offline" position
- Connect a PC to the UPS/SMS or MMU.
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Personal Computer to UPS Connection".
- Place the system in Bypass mode.
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Transfer to Bypass Mode".
- Verify that vacuum is in the green zone of the telemetry tile.
- Verify that temperatures are reasonable considering the ambient conditions and the state of the UPS/SMS or MMU.
Note: Temperatures may be slightly out of range depending on environmental conditions.
