A new water cooling system Application and Installation Guide is now available. Sea water strainers are now required for marine engine installations. Refer to Application and Installation Guide, LEBW4978 for the installation of the sea water strainers. This document is available on the Electronic Media Center web site.

The raw water system is becoming plugged due to the lack of proper filtration of the sea water. Check for the presence of a raw water strainer on all new engines.
