The rotating diode module has been improved for the above listed Generator Set engines. In order to allow better performance in extreme environments, improved reliability includes the following improvements:

• internal electrical

• mechanical

• structural

The new rectifier diode replaces the 9Y-0916 Rectifier Assembly .

Serviceability for the rectifier diode and the external varistor has been raised to the heat sink assembly level. Servicing at the assembly level will ensure the following:

• proper application and curing of the thermal transfer paste

• decreasing service time with interconnecting wiring

• minimizing wiring errors with interconnecting wiring

• maximizing protection of the rectifier diode with installation of a fresh, external varistor
