Installation Procedure

- Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the studs for turbocharger (14) . The weight of turbocharger (14) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb). Install the gasket and turbocharger (14) onto the engine. Install nuts (13) . Tighten nuts (13) to a torque of 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).
Note: Put clean engine oil in the oil inlet of the turbocharger after assembly or before installation to provide lubrication during start-up and during storage.

Note: Discard the nuts after use. Use new nuts for installation.
- Install the O-ring seal and the gasket onto tube assembly (12) . Install tube assembly (12) . Install bolts (11) . Install bolts (8) . Connect harness assembly (10) . Install new cable straps (9) .

Note: Check the O-ring seal for wear or for damage. If necessary, replace the O-ring seal.
- Connect harness assembly (7) . Install a new clamp (6) .

Note: The clamp for the combustion body group (ARD) is used only one time. Discard the clamp for the combustion body group (ARD) after use.
- Connect tube assembly (5) . Connect hose assembly (4) . Connect hose (2) . Tighten hose clamps (1) and (3) .

- Refer to Special Instruction, REHS0956-04, "Installation Instructions for Turbochargers - Realignment of End Housings" for the correct alignment procedures.
End By: Install the clean gas induction valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Clean Gas Induction Valve - Install".
