A more reliable toggle switch is available for use as an actuator for the fuel priming pump.
The 158-6632 Push Button Switch Gp is used in the following locations on the D8T Track-type Tractor:
- The switch is used in the operator station as a push button for the horn.
- The switch is used in the engine compartment as an actuator for the fuel priming pump.
For use as an actuator for the fuel priming pump, replace the 158-6632 Push Button Switch Gp with the 207-6941 Toggle Switch .

Replace the Push Button Switch

- Disconnect the harness connector for the fuel priming pump.
- Remove bolt (1) from the top of the filter base.
- Discard plate (2) and switch (3) .
- Remove bolts (4) and spacers (5) from the bottom of the filter base. Discard bolts (4) and spacers (5) .
- Reinstall bolt (1) at the top of the fuel filter base.
- Install spacers (6), bracket (9) and isolation mounts (10). Fasten bracket (9) to the fuel filter base with bolts (11) and washers (8) .

- Mount switch (7) and identification plate (15) to bracket (9). Use two nuts (12), one lockwasher (13), and one locking ring (14) in order to fasten the switch to the bracket.
