Sudden movement or accidental starting of the machine can cause personal injury or death to persons on or near the machine. To prevent personal injury or death, perform the following: Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Lower the work tool to the ground and engage the parking brake. Stop the engine and remove the key. Block the wheels and install the steering frame lock.

Perform this procedure before performing any of the following service procedures:

• Disconnecting any hydraulic connections for the implement system

• Removing any sensors or switches from the implement system

• Working on the blade or the linkage

1. Move the machine to a smooth, level surface.

2. Lower the blade to the ground. Make sure that the blade is resting on the ground and that the blade is completely level with the ground.

3. Move the control levers through the full range of travel. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system.

4. Depress the brake pedal repeatedly. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the brake hydraulic system.

5. In order to relieve all of the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank, press and hold down the plunger on breaker relief valve (1). The breaker relief valve is located on the top of the hydraulic oil tank.

6. Make sure that all oil pressure is released before you begin any work on the hydraulic system.

7. When the pressure in the hydraulic system has been released the lines and the components can be removed.
