An improved relay is now available for Marine machine starting systems. The 180 Amperes 265-5679 Relay and 2L-8066 Ring Terminals replace the 30 Amperes 213-0245 Relay in 12 VDC Marine machine systems. The 80 Amperes 277-4221 Relay and 2L-8066 Ring Terminals replace the 30 Amperes 206-9427 Relay in 24 VDC Marine machine systems.

Installation of 12 VDC Relay

1. Remove 213-0245 Relay (12 VDC) from 213-3068 Connection Box as shown in Illustration 1.

2. Replace the relay with 265-5679 Relay (12 VDC) .

3. Cut the spade terminal off wire number "50". Cut the spade terminal off wire number "+".

4. Connect the 2L-8066 Ring Terminal to wire number "50". Connect the 2L-8066 Ring Terminal to wire number "+".

5. Connect wire "50" to terminal "87" on 265-5679 Relay (12 VDC). Connect wire "+" to terminal 30 on 265-5679 Relay (12 VDC) .

Installation of 24 VDC Relay

1. Remove 206-9427 Relay (24 VDC) from 213-3068 Connection Box as shown in Illustration 1.

2. Replace the relay with 277-4221 Relay (24 VDC) .

3. Cut the spade terminal off wire number "50". Cut the spade terminal off wire number "+".

4. Connect 2L-8066 Ring Terminal to wire number "50". Connect 2L-8066 Ring Terminal to wire number "+".

5. Connect wire "50" to terminal "87" on 277-4221 Relay (24 VDC). Connect wire "+" to terminal "30" on 265-5679 Relay (24 VDC) .
