Description of Change:
Note: Engines that contain a 245-9806 Oil Level Gauge Gp (Dipstick) or 241-1724 Oil Level Gauge Gp (Dipstick) do not need to be improved.The C18 engines that are affected contain dipsticks on the left hand side of the engine. These dipsticks have been improved due to interference between the dipstick and the guide for the dipstick.
The engines (S/N: CKH1-1879), (S/N: C1J1-451), and (S/N: CYN1-331) contain 1N-3810 Oil Level Gauge Guide and 203-1887 Oil Level Gauge Gp (Dipstick) .
Adaptable To: The 1N-3810 Oil Level Gauge Guide has been replaced with 273-7188 Oil Level Guide Tube Assembly. The 203-1887 Oil Level Gauge Gp (Dipstick) has been replaced with 273-7187 Oil Level Gauge Gp (Dipstick). These improved Oil Level Gauge Guide Tube Assembly and Oil Level Gauge Gp (Dipstick) are being used in production since 28September 2005.
