Winch Control Centering - Adjust

  • Lift rubber boot (2) from the base of winch control lever (1) .

    1. Loosen four hex nuts (3) .

    1. Adjust each of the four pins (4) until plate (5) is level from the front to the back and the plate is level from one side to the other side. The ball portion of each pin should barely touch the cartridge below the pin without depressing the cartridge.

    1. While you hold the pin in place, tighten the nut of one of the pins that has a washer. Tighten the nut to a torque of 13 ± 3 N·m (115 ± 27 lb in).

    1. Back off the opposite pin for approximately one quarter of a turn. While you hold the pin in place, tighten the nut to a torque of 13 ± 3 N·m (115 ± 27 lb in).

    1. Repeat Step 4 and Step 5 for the other two pins.

    1. Place the rubber boot around the base of the winch control lever.
