Installation Procedure

1. Clean the mating surfaces of the transmission oil cooler and the bonnets. Install a new gasket at both ends of the transmission oil cooler.

2. Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to transmission oil cooler (10), as shown.

3. Use the hoist in order to install transmission oil cooler (10). The weight of transmission oil cooler (10) is 43 kg (95 lb).

4. Install four bolts (17) .

   Note: It may be necessary to leave bolts (17) loose at this time in order to connect remaining parts. Tighten bolts (17) to the proper torque upon completion of installation.

5. Install bolts (16) .

6. Install new gasket (15) on the top of transmission oil cooler (10), as shown.

Note: It is necessary to put three bolts (11) in the top elbow prior to installation.

7. Install top elbow (14) with three bolts (11), as shown.

8. Install new gasket (13) and four bolts (12) .

9. Install three remaining bolts (11) .

10. Connect hose assembly (9) to transmission oil cooler (10) .

11. Install tube assembly (8) and four bolts (7) .

12. Connect hose assemblies (6) .

13. Install clamp (5) .

14. Install cover (4) and four bolts (3) .

15. Install the left side engine panel (1) .

16. Close access door (2) .

End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
