NOTICE Park the machine on level ground. Check the engine oil level and maintain the engine oil level with the engine stopped. The engine should set for twenty minutes before adding oil to the engine oil pan. Failure to do this can result in excessive oil consumption and power loss due to overfill.
Show/hide tableNOTICE When the engine is running, only use the "SAFE OPERATING RANGE" side of the dipstick. This will ensure that adequate oil is in the pan in order to operate the engine safely between oil level maintenance periods.
Show/hide tableNOTICE Do not add engine oil to the crankcase while the engine is running. This may cause crankshaft windage or oil hang up resulting in overfill.
- Check the "SAFE STARTING RANGE" side of dipstick while the engine is stopped. Maintain the oil level between the "LOW" mark and the "FULL" mark.
- Clean the oil filler cap (2). Remove the oil filler cap. If necessary, add oil.
- Clean the oil filler cap and install the oil filler cap.
- Close the engine compartment access door.
