Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |

Note: Verify that all of the components of the fan drive are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

- Attach a suitable lifting sling to fan drive (7). Secure the suitable lifting sling to a hoist.

- Position fan drive (7) to shaft bracket (10). The weight of fan drive (7) is 186 kg (410 lb).
- Install four bolts (9) and the washers that secure fan drive (7) to shaft bracket (10) .
- Connect wiring harness (8) for the speed sensor at the electrical connection.

- Connect two hose assemblies (5) and (6) to fan clutch shaft (4) .

- Connect hose assembly (3) to fan clutch shaft (4) .

The V-belts are under tension from the spring. If the wrench slips while releasing the belt tension, personal injury may result. Be sure the wrench is properly engaged with the belt tightener. |

- Rotate belt tightener (2) with a suitable wrench in order to install six V-belts (1) to the fan drive, the belt tightener, and the crankshaft pulley.
- Use Tool (A) (not shown) in order to measure the belt tension. Refer to Specifications, SENR1122, "Belt Tension Chart" for the correct belt tension.
End By:
Install the radiator guard, the radiator, and the oil coolers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Guard, Radiator, and Oil Coolers - Install".
