Battery - Inspect
Tighten the battery retainers on all batteries at every 1000 hour interval.
Perform the following procedure at every 1000 hour interval.
- Open the rear engine access cover on one side of the machine. Lower the battery access cover at the rear of the machine.

- Clean the top of the battery with a clean cloth. Keep the terminals clean and coated with petroleum jelly. Install the terminal covers after you coat the terminals.

- Close the battery access cover.
- Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the battery that is on the opposite side of the machine.
