Diagnostic Code
The Service Code indicator (2) displays that a diagnostic code problem may exist. Press the rocker switch. The mode for diagnostic scrolling allows service personnel or an operator to see service codes.
Upon entering the diagnostic scrolling mode, the service codes are momentarily scrolled on the display area. When the last service code has been shown, "End" is shown, then the service codes are shown again. When there are no service codes present, "---" is shown continuously.
The service code indicator (SERV CODE) functions as a fault present indicator in diagnostic scrolling mode. When "SERV CODE" is ON, the fault that caused the service code currently being shown is present. If "SERV CODE" is off, the fault is not present at this time, but has occurred previously. For details refer to Service Manual, "Caterpillar Monitoring System".
