Installation Procedure

1. Put O-ring seals (13) and (14) into position on the main frame case.

2. Install the O-ring seal on the transmission and the bevel gear case.

3. Fasten a hoist and Tooling (B) to the transmission and bevel gear (10) .

4. Put the transmission and the bevel gears into position in the main frame case. Rollers (11) must be against the stops on the rail assemblies, as shown.

5. Put a two ton floor jack (12) into position under the rear of the transmission in order to support the transmission and the bevel gear when the hoist is removed.

6. Remove the hoist and Tooling (B) .

7. Fasten a hoist to Tooling (A). Support the weight of the transmission and the bevel gears with the hoist. Remove the floor jack.

8. Install two 12 mm guide bolts (15) in the main frame case.

9. Use the hoist and Tooling (A) in order to put the transmission and the bevel gears (10) into position on guide bolts (15) .

10. Install the bolts that hold the transmission and the bevel gears to the main frame case.

11. Remove the hoist and Tooling (A) .

12. Install the gasket and cover (8) to the rear of the transmission.

13. Install harness connector (4) and jam nut (5) on cover (7) .

14. Install the gasket, cover (7), and bolts (6) .

15. Connect wire harness (3) to the transmission and the bevel gear.

16. Install cover assembly (2) and bolts (1) .

17. Fill the transmission and the bevel gear case with oil to the correct level.

End By:

1. Install the main drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Drive Shaft - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
2. Install the axles. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
3. Install the drawbar (if equipped). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drawbar - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
