Valve Mechanism
气门系统部件在发动机运转期间控制进气和排气流进和流出气缸。
曲轴齿轮通过惰轮驱动凸轮轴。 两侧的凸轮轴都必须与曲轴具有正时对应关系以便获得活塞和气门移动的正确的相互关系。
凸轮轴针对每一缸有三个凸尖。 其中两个凸尖操作气门，另外一个操作喷油器。

每一侧的凸轮轴转动时，凸轮轴上的凸轮就会使挺杆 ( 6)上下移动。 此一移动致使推杆 ( 5) 移动摇臂 (1)。 摇臂的移动致使气门桥 ( 2) 向下移动。 此气门桥使两个气门同时开启。 该气门可以是进气门，或者是排气门。 每一缸都有两个进气门和两个排气门。
当挺杆下移时，气门弹簧 ( 4) 致使气门关闭。
转盘 (3)使得气门能够在发动机运转时转动。 气门的转动使气门上的积碳保持在最低水平，这样就使气门使用寿命更长。
