Installation Procedure

1. Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

2. Install tire (3) to the machine. The tire weighs 675 kg (1500 lb). Install the two nut to the rim. Remove Tooling (A) and the lift truck from tire (3) .

3. Install (18) nuts to rim (2) . Tighten the nuts to a torque of 140 ± 20 N·m (105 ± 15 lb ft). Tighten the nuts again to a torque of 500 ± 35 N·m (370 ± 25 lb ft). Remove the tooling from the scraper bowl.

4. Check the tire inflation. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU6588 for information on tire inflation.
