Assembly Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Note: Apply clean hydraulic oil to all seals and parts before assembly.

1. Install O-ring seal (36) and O-ring seal (35).

   Shuttle Valve

2. Install backup rings (34), O-ring seal (32), backup rings (33), O-ring seal (31), and O-ring seal (30).

3. Install shuttle valve (29). The torque for shuttle valve (29) is 35 ± 3 N·m (26 ± 2 lb ft).

4. Install backup rings (28), O-ring seal (27), and O-ring seal (26).

5. Install cylinder crossover relief valve (25). The torque for cylinder crossover relief valve (25) is 60 ± 7 N·m (44 ± 5 lb ft).

   Spool Assembly

6. Install shim pack (18), retainer (19), washer (20), spring (21), retainer (22), washer (23), and bolt (24) on stem (17).

8. Install cover (15) and four bolts (14).

   Backup Relief Valve

9. Install backup rings (13), O-ring seal (12), and O-ring seal (11).

10. Install backup relief valve (10). The torque for backup relief valve (10) is 50 ± 7 N·m (37 ± 5 lb ft).

    Pressure Reducing Valve

11. Install backup ring (9), O-ring seal (7), backup ring (8), O-ring seal (6), and O-ring seal (5).

12. Install pressure reducing valve (4). The torque for pressure reducing valve (4) is 60 ± 7 N·m (44 ± 5 lb ft).

13. Install balls (1), springs (2), and plug assemblies (3).
