Steering Control Valve - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the steering control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Control Valve - Remove".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Remove plug assemblies (3), springs (2), and balls (1).

  2. Remove pressure reducing valve (4).

  3. Remove O-ring seal (5), O-ring seal (6), backup ring (8), O-ring seal (7), and backup ring (9).

  4. Remove backup relief valve (10).

  5. Remove O-ring seal (11), O-ring seal (12), and backup rings (13).

  6. Remove four bolts (14) and cover (15).

  7. Remove spool assembly (16).

  8. Remove bolt (24), washer (23), retainer (22), spring (21), washer (20), retainer (19), and shim pack (18) from stem (17).

  9. Remove cylinder crossover relief valve (25).

  10. Remove O-ring seal (26), O-ring seal (27), and backup rings (28).

  11. Remove shuttle valve (29).

  12. Remove O-ring seal (30), O-ring seal (31), backup rings (33), O-ring seal (32), and backup rings (34).

  13. Remove O-ring seal (35) and O-ring seal (36).
