When the autoshift function is activated, the transmission speed can be downshifted by one gear by pressing the switch on the bucket lift lever. The downshift switch is active in all gears. The downshift will only occur if the machine speed and the engine speed will not result in an engine overspeed. Holding down the switch will cause the transmission to downshift as the machine speed decreases.
This button is normally used to downshift the machine from second speed to first speed while you are loading the bucket. The transmission will remain in the downshifted gear for three seconds after the switch is released. Then, automatic shifting begins.
