High Brass Readings In Power Train Oil System

Problem:
Some reports have been received that the level of brass found in the power train oil was high or that brass was found in the power train oil filter.
Solution:
In some cases, the cause has been found to be an incorrectly machined surface of the 135-6273 Input Hub, which caused excess wear of the two 104-5361 Sleeve Bearings. If the surface of the hub appears to be ground, the surface is OK. If the hub surface is too rough, it will be possible to feel the roughness with a thumbnail.
