This Program must be administered either before or after failure.
In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS44898" as the Part Number
and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code.
If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

The existing 2418368/">241-8368 Switch Assembly (Power Relay) can fail on certain D5R Track-Type Tractors, that set for a long period of time. An internal short on the switching side of the power relay may be the product of a conductive path created due to "migration" of copper material from the relays contact assembly to housing. Material migration can be accelerated by moisture. |

This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

1. Replace the current 2418368/">241-8368 Switch Assembly (Power Relay) by the same 2418368/">241-8368 Power Relay (Power Relay). Ensure that the date code of the new power relay is above 2012.
2. Install a 4B-4277 Flat Washer between the nut and the busbar/ring terminal.
3. Tighten the power relay to a specified torque of 9 +/- 0.5 N.m.
4. Ensure that the cables attached to the power relay studs are supported. There should be no opportunity for movement of the connection components.
