The 3876129/">387-6129 Gasket and/or 3876176/">387-6176 Seal needs to be replaced on certain 950 GC Medium Wheel Loaders. The existing gasket and/or seal can fail. This failure may cause fluid leakage or allow debris into the system.

Replace the existing 3876129/">387-6129 Gasket and 3876176/">387-6176 Seal by the same 3876129/">387-6129 Gasket and 3876176/">387-6176 Seal.

When replacing a failed gasket or seal, drain all fuel from the fuel tank, then clean up all debris in fuel system. Refer to SEBF9178, Contamination Control Guidelines, "Filtration Procedure for Wheel Loader, Wheel Dozer, Soil Compactor, Landfill Compactor Hydraulic Oil", to flush the hydraulic system.

Rework Procedure

Group Number 1

Group 1 Machines:

1. Replace the 3876129/">387-6129 Gasket on the fuel tank. Refer to Image1.1.1. If the original gasket is found to have failed, debris may be present in the fuel tank. Drain the tank and change the engine fuel filters, as needed, in order to remove any contamination.

Note: Bolt torque for this gasket is 18 +/- 7 N.m.

2. Replace the 3876176/">387-6176 gasket on the hydraulic tank as shown in Image1.1.2. If the original gasket is found to have failed, debris may be present in the hydraulic tank. Flush the hydraulic system as needed to remove any contamination. Refer to SEBF9178, Contamination Control Guidelines, "Filtration Procedure for Wheel Loader, Wheel Dozer, Soil Compactor, Landfill Compactor Hydraulic Oil", for instructions.

Note: Bolt torque for this gasket is 36 +/- 10 N.m.
