Remove the Generator from the Engine

1. Remove the air outlet grill (16) by removing the two bolts from the top of the flange (drive end) (3) .

2. Remove the ground cable from the grounding point (18) on the generator frame by removing the bolt and the washer.

3. Remove the 4 nuts and washers from the exhaust manifold elbow. See illustration 2.

4. Remove the 6 bolts (13) and washers (12) from the flywheel housing.

5. Remove the 4 nuts (11) and washers (12) from the flywheel housing.

6. Remove the 6 nuts (9) from the coupling disc.

7. Remove the two mounting bolts from the frame of the generator.

8. Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove the generator from the engine. See illustration 4.
