Action Required
If the 1116087 and 1116088 Manifolds have not be changed, implement this program at the same time as the September 26, 1996 Service Letter PI3927.
Pumps Wear Verification Procedure
1. Remove cab floor plate. (No need to remove cab.)
2. Remove pump top cover (actuator grp 127-7040). Some hoses and tubes will need to be removed to reach the cover. The clearance between the base of the slipper (piston 115-1452) and the face of the swashplate (115-1454) must be less than .0016". If the clearance is less than .0016, no further action is required.
3. If the clearance (wear) exceeds .0016", or if other obvious damage is present, the pump needs to be replaced. In this case, the drive motors must be inspected for excessive premature wear, damage or scratches on barrel (129-4727) and port plate (of head grp 128-6174). If damaged, resurface or replace barrel and head grp.
