Usage:
631D, 633D, 637D and 637D PP Tractor-Scrapers
Description of Change: Different hose assemblies are now used for the steering cylinders to prevent failures during operation of the above machines. These hose assemblies are connected to the valves on top of the gooseneck and to the rod end ports of the steering cylinder.
This hose assembly is shorter and has straight sleeves at both ends.
Formerly, a longer hose assembly with a 30° angle sleeve at one end was used. It was some times possible for the former hose assembly to twist and break during operation.
Adaptable To: The new 8J3076 Hose Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 1U111 Hose Assembly which is canceled.
Two 8J3076 Hose Assemblies are used on the 631D and 637D Tractors. One is used on each steering cylinder. Only one 8J3076 Hose Assembly is used on the 633D Tractor, it is used on the right steering cylinder. A 9J2163 Hose Assembly is used on the left steering cylinder on 633D Tractors, to give the necessary clearance between the steering cylinder hose and the hydraulic lines. See the article, "Different Steering Cylinder Hose Now Used To Prevent Contact With Elevator Hydraulic Motor Hose," on Page 3 of the October 15, 1979 Service Magazine.
