Refer to the Testing and Adjusting Module, "Fuel System pressure - Test" for information on testing the operation of the fuel priming pump.
Note: When the fuel transfer pump is installed on the engine, ensure that the camshaft is on minimum lobe lift and that the bolts are evenly tightened. Failure to follow this procedure can cause the loss of maximum engine power and damage to the fuel transfer pump.
