Contactors for low engine oil pressure

      (1) Isolation valve

      (2) Nut for the test port

    1. Turn isolation valve (1) in order to isolate the contactor.

    1. Slowly loosen nut (2) in order to purge the residual pressure.

If the contactor is properly adjusted, an engine shutdown will occur when the residual pressure is purged.

    1. Tighten nut (2). Turn isolation valve (1) back to the position for normal operation.

  1. Acknowledge the alarm and the shutdown that was generated. Reset the control system.

  1. Test the contactor for low engine oil pressure at high engine speed.

    1. Start the engine and operate the engine at a speed that is greater than 788 rpm.

    1. Turn isolation valve (1) in order to isolate the contactor.

    1. Slowly loosen nut (2) in order to purge the residual pressure.

If the contactor is properly adjusted, an engine shutdown will occur when the residual pressure is purged.
