正确的喷油正时和配气机构工作由正时参考齿轮和前齿轮总成的对中结果决定。 正时参考齿轮位于凸轮轴齿轮上。 正时参考齿轮用于测量曲轴转速。 前齿轮安装期间，惰轮齿轮 (3) 上的正时标记 (2) 必须与曲轴齿轮上的正时标记 (4) 及凸轮轴齿轮上的正时标记 (1) 对齐。
检查正时参考齿轮上的轮齿。 齿面不应有损伤。 齿缘应清洁锐利，齿上应无污物。
注: 重新组装前齿轮系后必须标定电子喷油正时。 请参阅故障诊断与排除, "发动机转速 / 正时传感器 - 标定"。
