Assembly Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Note: Check condition of O-ring seals (2). If the seals are damaged or worn, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Install valves (3) and (4) in engine oil filter base (1).

  2. Install springs (5) and (6) in the engine oil filter base.

    ------ WARNING! ------

    Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.

    To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.


  3. Install covers (7) on engine oil filter base (1).

End By:

  1. Install the engine oil filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Filter Base - Install".
