Hydraulic Tank Screen - Clean

Usage:

  1. Park the machine on level ground.

  1. Unlatch the engine hood and raise the engine hood.

  1. Remove bolts (1), washers (2) and cover (3) from the top of the hydraulic tank.

  1. Clean the area thoroughly in order to keep dirt out of the screen cover. Clean the area thoroughly in order to keep dirt out of the fill/vent plug.

  1. Relieve the internal pressure from the hydraulic tank by loosening the fill/vent plug. After the pressure is relieved, remove the fill/vent plug.

    (8) Screen

  1. Remove bolts (4), washers (5) and cover (6) .

    Note: Do not allow spring (7) to fall into the tank.

  1. Remove spring (7) and screen (8) .

    Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "General Hazard Information" for information on containing fluid spillage.

  1. Wash the screen in a clean nonflammable solvent. Allow the screen to dry. Inspect the screen. Replace the screen, if the screen is damaged.

  1. Remove O-ring seal (9) from screen (12) .

  1. Inspect O-ring seals (9) and (10). Replace the O-ring seals if wear or damage is evident.

  1. Install O-ring seal (9) on screen (12) .

  1. Install screen (8) and spring (7). Then install cover (6), washers (5), and bolts (4) .

    Note: Make sure that the O-ring seals and the spring are properly positioned during installation.

  1. Inspect the O-ring seal on the filler plug for damage. Replace the O-ring, if necessary. Clean the filler plug. Install the filler plug.

  1. Install cover (3) with bolts (1) and washers (2) .

  1. Close the engine hood and latch the engine hood.
