Start By:

  1. Remove the swing motor and the swing drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swing Motor and Swing Drive - Remove".

  1. Remove bolts (2) and swing motor (1) .

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

  1. Remove bolts (3) and head (4) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (7), port plate (5), and bearing (6) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (8), ring (9), and spring washers (10) .

  1. Remove ring (11) and pins (12) .

  1. Remove plug (13) and the O-ring seal.

  1. Install Tooling (A) .

    Note: Lower the air pressure.

  1. Apply a suitable air supply to the port in order to remove piston (14) .

  1. Remove O-ring seals (15) .

  1. Remove rotating group (16) .

  1. Remove pistons (17), retainer (18), and bearing (19) .

  1. Use a suitable press and Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining ring (21) .

  1. Remove washer (24), spring (23), and washer (22) .

  1. Remove disc (25) and plate (26) .

  1. Remove shaft (27) and bearing (28) .

  1. Use a suitable press in order to remove bearing (28) from shaft (27) .

  1. Remove valve assembly (29), plug (30), and the O-ring seal.

  1. Remove nut (31), O-ring seal (32), backup rings (33), and O-ring seal (34) .

  1. Remove carrier (45) .
